I just saw a commercial for another dumbass attorney trying to get clients to sue investment firms over
losing money with investments like MCI/WorldCom. They say that the advise that these firms
gave their customers bad investment advise, and are therefore liable for their clients losing money
in the stock market. This is just another case of immoral attorneys trying to screw people
out of money. Is it really the fault of your stock broker when your stock falls? No, it's not,
anyone who invests in the stock market and thinks that there is no chance of losing money
is a complete and total moron. The stock market is just like if you come to Vegas and play
the games, it's a gamble. There is always a chance of losing. No matter what advise someone gives
you it doesn't guarantee anything. There is no way an investment advisor can possibly know
the future, and there is also no way that an investment advisor can know exactly what's going on
with the inner workings of corporation. If the leadership is doing something illegal, they're
hiding it, simple as that. Do you really expect your investment advisor to know things that
no one else knows? They do their homework, they know how a company
has done in the past, and they
try to know what the earnings look like witch is what makes the stock go up. If the
company is
inflating the books, to make it look like they're making money when they're actually losing it,
how can it be "bad advise" to tell someone to invest in it. I had a stock that went from 25 to 90,
then fell like a rock to the point it wasn't worth the paper the shares where printed on. Was
it the fault of any investment advisor that it fell? Nope, sure wasn't. It was the fault of
bad business decisions by the board of directors of the company. Should I sue the board? Should I sue
the stock broker that the shares where purchased through? No to both, like I said, it's all
a gamble.
When attorneys, and the stupid people that hire them sue everyone, the rest of us get screwed.
There are problems in life, pure and simple. In today's day and age if you have any problems at
all, even if it's really your fault, you just go sue someone and it'll all get better, or so
the attorneys try to make you think.
Here in Nevada the attorneys have already gone after doctors. They'd sue for malpractice over
and little complication that happened. because of that the price of malpractice insurance went
through the roof in this state. Many doctors just couldn't afford, or they
weren't willing to
pay the inflated rates for the insurance, so they closed up shop, and left. Many OR doctors, many
surgeons, and even many family doctors quit their jobs and left the state to practice elsewhere.
They left so they could still practice medicine without the cost of worrying about getting sued, or paying
way too much for insurance. The situation got so bad that they even had to shut down the trauma
center for about a month during the summer (2001) because they didn't have the doctors to staff it.
When you think about that, consider how many people died because of the
irrespirable actions
of those attorneys.
